Beginning her Hollywood journey in 1997, Margarita has appeared in notable shows like 'Dexter: Original Sin", 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Good Trouble', and 'Criminal Minds' and feature films  'Do You Want to Die in Indio?', 'Kill Him Til He's Dead' and 'You Better Watch Out'.

Beyond acting, she's an independent film producer.

Margarita’s commitment extends to educational outreach; she has mentored over four hundred students in California's public schools, guiding them through the entire filmmaking process—from story development to marketing. Her students' works have been showcased in prestigious venues like the Creative Artists Agency, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and SONY Pictures Studios.

Margarita's personal story, marked by triumphs and tribulations, deeply influences her artistic and advocacy endeavors. A UCLA alumna, she infuses her Chicana/o Studies background into her work, fostering narratives that resonate with empathy.

She is currently developing a film mentorship program 

through her company Inspire Love Media. 

She resides with her husband Charles in Birmingham, Alabama.
